The African Open Science Platform’s First Governing Council

The African Open Science Platform is pleased to announce the appoint of its first Governing Council. AOSP was initially governed by an Advisory Council throughout its inception and pilot. The council appointment is a three-year term with effect from April 2023 to March 2026. The role of the council is to provide strategic leadership and advise on Open Science engagements in Africa and the further development of the AOSP, including plans to implement the AOSP strategy; serve in an advocacy role for the platform and support fundraising initiatives.
